I think the most fantastic thing about being at the Data Science Festival today is the amazing people you get to meet. Its been great to learn what other people are doing in the industry. Its been amazing volunteering, making new friends, learning new ways of applying data science, just being around everyone has been great.

Supporting Career Day with the Data Science Festival gives Digital Futures an advantage because it connects us with the incredible talent that’s part of the DSF community. There are so many incredible people here that we have met and spoken to all day, and all of them are really just looking to get their foot in the door. Being able to connect with them here in this space with like-minded people that want that first opportunity shows the power of an event like this.

It was great to see different diverse groups of people come. Surprisingly we had more women than men, showing the glass ceiling is being broken, which is always the goal.

Career Day has not only helped from a brand perspective, so making sure that candidates have a lovely experience meeting us, it also helps us to get our brand out there. It also allows us to tap into markets that maybe we wouldn’t have known about before, so whether that is people who are returning to work that maybe haven’t used LinkedIn, or grads who have just left University and aren’t really sure where to start. I definitely think it helps us.
