The talks are really well organised, theres something for everyone whether you’re a new data person starting out in their career, an candidate with experience or you’re a people manager. The talks really cater for everyone, and make it super relevant and interesting.

It’s important for sponsors to come to events like this because we get to meet a very diverse new breed of people coming onto the market. There are lots of new talent, new skills, returners and people who have taken a career break from work. We also get to have a diverse portfolio of people applying to the roles that we have open right now.

It’s a unique opportunity to work with people who are courageous enough to hit the reset button and pursue a new career in data. Spending time as a mentor at the Data Science Festival enabled me to support those making this leap. My goal wasn’t just to talk about tips and tricks but to help these talented individuals bridge the gap between their existing expertise and their future potential in tech.
